Using anderson and similar types of connections. reduces risk of reverse polarity. Fuses and breakers are easily accessible. Mulitiply layers of protection. So important to our boat customers. 2 bms’s per battery ( one on the positive leg the other on the negative) if and when one fails. 2nd should catch it. Safety is also can be thought of : how easy is it to tie down in Boat , trailer, auto, home? Buy a base, screw/ bolt in a warm dry space. Then simply click battery in or out of base. So much safer than tie down straps.

Blue sea breakers give the advantage of isolating battery when wiring up to inverters. In the above photos and on youtube, i have shown example of inverters being mounted to the battery itself.

Letting the inverter cool itself down, with its built in fans… is so much more efficient then encasing the inverter inside the battery case.. Then trying to cool down a all in one.

since the battery cases and tids are not glued together. Added safety by doing visual check on cells and components. Fans are only really needed when mppts are installed. Cells on their own stay room temp. High amp wires also keeps connection cool as possible.

Future you can upgrade cells, say 10-20 years from now. This battery can be considered as a lifetime purchase. Orignal cells can last 20 plus years of service with thousands of cycles. I can only imagine how much improvements to the cells there will be, in the decades to follow. But for sure its only going to get better. There will be nothing holding you back from taking old cells out and replacing with new cells with more than double the capacity. But i bet all the other components won’t change much

These larger backs can provide more than just a couple of days of emergency pack-up.
