Crafting Superior Lifepo4 Batteries

With a mindset to safety in every aspect of these battery production.

Constant searching for the best materials and adhering to “rights of repair” / easy upgrade..

Yes the case is durable, no problem standing on it. yes it can be be dropped. If it did crack. case can be replaced.

Yes it is necessary to compress the cells together, it also takes any stress off the terminals. Using copper terminals, mulit-stranded cables, keeps battery cool.

BMS’s battery management system. I think i have tried them all. i just don’t look for the one best manufacture. They are put into pairs, with complimentary features. No bms is perfect and has every and all features.

ok heres the disclaimer. Nothing is perfect. I can not guarantee the parts longer than 4 months. Stored energy like this can be dangerous. I do believe that the risks are lower than say your electric car. Since the EV is being put under much higher loads. LiFePo4 is the chemistry in the battery, iron not colbolt, so the volatility goes way down, and the Cells have vents to relieve the pressure of a overcharging event. 90% of all home storage batteries being built have only one Battery Management System, a hardware chip, board and operating system needed to make sure the individual cells are never over or under charged plus balancing ( all cells need to be at the same voltage). Proud to say, My builds have 2. if for what ever reason the one BMS fails. the second one will surely catch it.. It cost more. but im tired of watching the news ..”another battery fire’’
